Responds to fire and medical emergencies and gives competent first aid care to guests and associates within certified training levels and in accordance with approved Cedar Fair protocols.
Ability to drive, or learn to drive, a vehicle with a manual transmission. Ability to demonstrate familiarity using OSHA, OBBC, and Fire code regulatory manuals. Must possess a valid state EMT Certification. Requires a Basic Firefighter Certification. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references; per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.First Aid Certification CPR Certification Driver's License
Performs routine fire and safety inspections; performs follow-up inspections for corrective action and reports continued safety issues to the leadership team;assists with fire training when needed, partners with departments to assists with creating solutions to safety concerns.Conducts investigations on necessary first aid incidents as requested by the first aid RN; responds to and assists with park emergencies; assists with the regular maintenance of emergency equipment; operates emergency vehicles.Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
