Chase Brass and Copper Company, a leader in the brass rod industry, has an opening for an Electrical Engineer at our Montpelier, OH facility.
The primary focus of this role is to specify and implement automation, power, and safety systems in support of the manufacturing operations. Proficiency with legacy and cutting edge technologies ensure that the Company is leveraging the most effective platforms for increased productivity, safety, and profitability
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Electrical, software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems. Able to maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, and prevent project creep.
Support specifying, manufacturing, and validating of systems which include hydraulics, pneumatics, servos, motor drives, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, digital and analog i/o, and robotics.
Create documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, safety standards, and motor controls.
Provide technical support and training to Maintenance and Production as needed.
Required Skills And Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
3-5 years related job experience preferred, or an equivalent of combined education and experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficient with MS Office, Modicon and Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical control and power system design and its application in automated industrial designs including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems.
Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals
